Ephesians 1:17-21
Everything in the Kingdom of God works through knowledge; you cannot function beyond your level of knowledge.
That is why Jesus said: You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32)
What a person knows determines what they see, what they say, and what they do. That is why Jesus was different from the teachers of the law; he had a different kind of knowledge. Jesus knew what the Father knew and he did what the Father did (John 8:26-29).
The enemy’s tool against God’s children is ignorance, the lack of knowledge.
Because of the lack of knowledge, many people are being abused daily by the enemy, the enemy speaks wrong things and they accept them.
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.
God wants his children to have knowledge, not just simple knowledge about life and their surroundings but he wants his children to have the same knowledge He has! With the same knowledge, it’s very possible to rule and have dominion like God; this was the same thing with Adam. Adam knew what God knew, and because of the Knowledge he had, it was possible for him to rule and have dominion over the garden and those who were in it. (Genesis 2:19-20)
Jesus speaks about the importance of knowing what God knows and says; Man shall not leave by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. (Matthew 4:4)
There are different kinds of knowledge but the one which comes from the word of God supersedes all other knowledge. The Devil told Jesus a different kind of knowledge when he tempted him so as to sway him from his faith, (the same he did in the garden to Adam and he was swayed from the plan and purpose of God)
However, it was different when the Devil spoke to Jesus, Jesus spoke back to the enemy telling him the real truth that applied to himself not what the enemy was saying (Matthew 4:1-11)
1. It’s important to know and understand where we have been called to; the hope of his calling (Christ in us the Hope of Glory)
2. It’s important to know that in his glory that’s where our needs are met, (my God shall supply all my needs according to the riches in glory in Christ Jesus) our inheritance
3. It’s important to know the exceeding power of God (Dunamis) which we have because we believe in Jesus, his power energises us!
4. It’s important to know our place in Christ, (far above principalities, power, might, dominion, and names in heaven and earth.
KNOWLEDGE IS KEY IN WALKING IN POWER, NO KNOWLEDGE NO POWER!
