I did not speak in secret, nor in shadows cast,
Not in corners dark, nor whispers of the past.
I called you by name, to a service divine,
Not for nothing, but for a reward, a sign.
I did not summon you to toil in vain,
To chase empty dreams, to labor in pain.
I, the Lord, speak truth that is pure and clear,
What I declare, you need not fear.
For I speak righteousness, My words are true,
Straightforward, unwavering, in all I do.
There’s no deceit, no trickery in My plea.
Only the promise of what you’ll soon see.
In the land of darkness, I did not hide.
But beckoned you forth to stand with pride.
Not to serve in vain, not to struggle in strife,
But to inherit the reward of abundant life.
So do not doubt the path I’ve laid,
Nor think your labor shall be betrayed.
For in my call, there’s purpose and grace,
A just reward awaits in my embrace.
I called you not to wander in despair,
But to walk in truth, knowing I’m always there.
My voice rings out, steady and strong,
A song of justice, to right every wrong.
You are not forgotten, lost in the night, for my eyes see you, and I bring you light.
I’ve promised you, from the start of your days,
A reward that’s faithful, in all My ways.
So hold fast to the call I’ve placed in your heart,
For the work is not empty; it’s only the start.
You will see the fruit of every tear,
A harvest of joy, with nothing to fear.
I’ve called you forth with purpose and might,
To shine in the dark, to stand in the light.
No promise of Mine will ever fall short,
For I am the truth, the rock of your fort.
